In a continuing effort to understand the way Vikings came to be, and what’s happened up until the modern age, I started looking for a timeline to work with. Of course, one can go looking into Wikipedia for a fairly detailed initial look, but what I wanted was a technical breakdown of the high points. I think I’ve found one at Viking Answer Lady, at least going into the bulk of the Middle Ages, around 1300 AD.
It starts waaaaaay back, to roughly the dawn of civilization, or at least Western civilization. I’m not delving into India Vedic lore or Atlantis here, but what I can relate to in my world and my known heritage. Please check out the timeline, it’s fascinating, and can lead an inquisitive person down many paths.
